Spectacular acting and an amazing and gripping story. personally i could watch this film over and over yet never get bored. all the way through you sympathise with the character Micky ward and it really reaches out to all the sibling that has had to live under the lime light of their brothers or sisters. it was fantastic acting from all the cast. Amazing film!!!!!
This film is appealing to a wide variety of people it really keeps you fixated on the story it can make you feel such a range of emotion it can make you feel emotionally drained by the end but it's worth it. I would really recommend this film for people who like a good gritty film.

Pirates of the Caribbean: on stranger tides
Enjoyable like all the pirates films but there is something definatly lacking there is enough to keep us amused although Jack Sparrow is still up to his old antics it's just not the same. Although it must be said that Geoffrey Rush was brilliant the character he plays Captain Barbosa he makes the film that bit better and adds to the familiarality of the other three films we all enjoy.
It has all the aspects of a a potentially brilliant film but it's just lacking something. It has humor, action, Romance, Pirates and that clever twist the others have. It is in no way a bad film it's just we are all expecting something better from it because of the previous films we had become accustomed to i think there was too much change in this one and thats why it did feel as good.

Whats out this week 7/10/11?
First of all we have the re-release of The Lion King in 3D. Now this is possibly the greatest Disney film of all time and me and many other people around my age are very excited to see the childhood film that we can all remember with love in our hearts. I am very pleased that Disney has re-released this film for a whole new generation, the best thing about this is they haven't changed the original in anyway the only difference is it is in 3D. http://www.empireonline.com/news/story.asp?NID=32125
Also this week don't be afraid of the dark. This looks like one to watch for those horror fans out there, it has had people jumping so much in the trailers their spilling their popcorn everywhere, (have seen this happen with my own eyes). There really isn't enough good horror films realeased. I mean what does a girl have to do to be able to watch a film that is going to scare the crap out of her. This film does seem to have some potential to put the fear back into the horror genre. Definately use the link below to see the trailer.

Johnny English Rebourn is one i'm not looking forward to seeing, it's not that i don't think it will be good it's just full of that silly humour that i'm not quite a fan of. I do love Rowan Atkinson as many characters but i feel Johnny English is not his best character and the humour in the filmis out dated and has been seen before a lot. I think it will be a good film for families with young children to watch. I'll be giving it a miss but if i am prooved wrong let me know.

My name is Gemma Jarvis and i am a huge film and television fan. I pretty much dont think about much else. Now i get asked "whats on that i would enjoy gem?" All the time so i have decided to tell the world what i think instead of telling each person individually.
I am here for your needs to help decide what to watch when you have nothing else to do. My blog will consist of many opinons of mine of different films old and new so you are welcome to take my opinion in to consideration or not whatever suits you. Everyone is into different things but i hate wasting my time on something completely awfull you know the ones thestuff you watch and the regret straight away.
I will also be giving you tips on how to avoid those sucky shows and film e.g. usually when a trailer to a film has long clips of the film it's because they can't find an interesting enough seperate clips that will draw people in.
